URL Blacklists

The URL Filtering (or Guarding) mode on a CacheGuard Gateway allows you to block access to undesirable websites, such as adult content sites. To provide this service, you need lists of URLs and domain names classified by category, which enables you to block (or allow) access to them. To do so, you can subscribe to our URL Blacklists service and benefit from regularly updated, high-quality lists of URLs and domain names classified by category.

Our URL Blacklists service is perfectly suited for use with CacheGuard products. With this service, downloading and updating URL blacklists becomes straightforward. The blacklists are available through a download subscription service, which is offered as an option with a unique CacheGuard subscription plan. Extended Antivirus Signatures

When you subscribe to our URL Blacklists service, you also get access to additional virus signatures for even better protection. These additional signatures include the latest Crypto Lockers and many others not included in the standard package. The integration of these antivirus signatures is automatic as soon as antivirus is enabled on your CacheGuard product.

Our URL Blacklists Categories

Our lists contain thousands of website domain names and URLs, classified by category. Here are some examples of the available URL blacklist categories:

Category	Description
Advertising	Websites about advertising: this includes sites offering banners and banner creation as well as sites delivering banners to be shown in webpages. Advertising companies are listed too.
Dating	Websites to contact people for love and life together. men seeking women, women seeking men, and so on.
Drugs	Websites offering drugs or explain how to make drugs (legal and non legal): covers tobacco as well as Viagra and similar substances.
Gambling	Websites offering the possibility to win money: poker, casino, bingo and other chance games as well as betting sites.
Hacking	Websites with information and discussions about security weaknesses and how to exploit them: sites offering exploits are listed as well as sites distributing programs that help to find security leaks.
Porn	Websites about all kinds of sexual content ranging from naked photos to hardcore porn and S and M.
Malware	Websites containing malware and/or and phishing contents.
Warez	Websites offering programs to break license keys, license keys themselves, cracked software and other copyrighted material.
WebMail	Websites that offer Web based email services.
