As its name suggests, CacheGuard mini Appliance is a small (135 mm x 125 mm x 40 mm) hardware network appliance for your greater online Security and network traffic Optimization. The mini appliance is powered by CacheGuard-OS installed as a UTM Gateway for 10 users. It is a completely silent (fan less) and low power consumption machine that can perfectly take place on your desk.
CacheGuard appliances are designed to be functional and easy to handle even for non specialists. To quickly get started with the mini Appliance you can read the CacheGuard Appliance Quick Start guide. The CacheGuard-OS documentation is clear and plenty of information on how to be configured. In addition, you have the possibility to post your technical questions on https://help.cacheguard.net/ and get responses around the clock during business hours free of charge.

Low power consumption with AES-NI CPU
An Intel® Celeron® J4125 CPU that consumes only 6 Watt is embedded in a CacheGuard mini Appliance. Furthermore, the J3160 CPU integrates Intel® AES New Instructions (AES-NI), a set of instructions that enable fast and secure data encryption and decryption. AES-NI is valuable for CacheGuard-OS SSL mediation/inspection and IPsec VPN.
USB to Ethernet
The CacheGuard-OS running on a CacheGuard appliance supports USB to Ethernet adapters so if you need additional network interfaces for an auxiliary network or if you need to reinforce the availability of your appliance by using link bonding, you have the possibility to plug such adapters to USB ports. Please note that USB to Ethernet adapters are not provided in the standard package.
